Lisa (Chartier) Colella

Lisa (Chartier) Colella grew up challenging the “norm” in every way. She was usually the only female starring on male sports teams, the only kid in town holding down a fixed job at age 11 (after negotiating a somewhat illegal work permit), and the only person we know who taught a pet goat to push her on a buoy swing as a form of childhood entertainment. In her mind, the fact that something hasn’t been done is nothing more than an invitation to make it happen. That is the mindset from which Truist was born, and has since been driven by her current mottos, “find a way” and “lead with love”.

Lisa graduated with a dual Communications / Marketing degree from The University of Miami. She began her career in consumer advertising & marketing agencies and then progressed it on the 2006 presidential campaign trail before she was recruited into Recruitment Advertising by a recruitment advertisement. She has spent the last 12+ years applying her Brand, Marketing and Strategy expertise to solve deeply complex HR and Talent challenges for many Fortune 100 brands across a diverse set of industries.  She has held a variety of Employer Brand / Recruitment Marketing roles in both agency, consulting firm, and in-house Corporate settings. This has given her a 360 degree view of the challenges faced by both workers and companies in today’s radically polarized talent marketplace, along with a track record of significant achievements, learnings and community building to draw from. After building a globally award-winning talent brand team at Philips, she felt called to help other HR and Marketing leaders solve their talent challenges in a similar, but freshly inspired way.

Over the years, Lisa honed her skills working on brands such as AstraZeneca, Boston Scientific, Iron Mountain, Deutsche Bank, Rolls Royce, Microsoft, Deloitte, Verizon Business, International Monetary Fund, United States Postal Service, Sun Life Financial, Aramark, BNY Mellon, Akamai Technologies. She has been featured as a written and spoken thought leader by Fortune, CEB/Gartner,, Human Capital Institute (HCI), Omobono, CareerArc, and The Employer Branding podcast, and has won employer brand awards in every major region (North America, Europe and Asia).

Inspired by the strong work/family/health  values she observed and experienced while living abroad, she is passionate about igniting a movement in the U.S. for workers, employers, and families to realize the mutual strength that flourishes when greater integration of these values is possible, encouraged and realized.
